Have you ever wondered what it really means to be Celtic? Mick (Celtic Elegance’s treasurer) takes on the task of answering this question in this informative blog post! Mick…
This is our largest Celtic Cross and boldly features a shamrock in the center. This cross is great for all genders! The Celtic Cross is revered by all Celtic people. It is an ancient symbol and its Christian beginnings began with the adoption of the more angular Roman cross. The Celts brought their own interpretation and included the circle of life. Celtic Crosses may be seen throughout churchyards in Ireland, Scotland and Wales even today. In true Celtic tradition, these crosses were decorated with the never ending knots to represent life’s never ending circle.
This pendant does not disappoint! There is knotwork, Trinity knots and a Shamrock making this an ideal cross for those of Irish descent.
The Shamrock is a well recognized Irish symbol. Legend tells that when St. Patrick began to teach Christianity to the Irish Celts he used the humble Shamrock to help him explain the power of three – namely The Trinity. The little three leaved plant was perfect to represent The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
Made from .925 sterling silver and available in several chain lengths.
